As a general mental health counselor, Robert has received training and education to help those who are struggling with:
He is here to help those who feel stuck in their own addictions, or unwanted behaviors. In couples therapy, we work on communication and learning and applying skills that are needed to have a healthy and happy marriage relationship and better communication.
Robert works with individuals ages 16 and older as well as couples.
Robert uses CBT (Cognitive Behavior Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), meditation & mindfulness practices to help you work through your own challenges in life. He believes each individual is the expert of themselves and his job is to work with you to unlock your potential and be your best self. He really enjoys being involved in the healing process of change as he meets and helps each one of his clients.
Robert earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Arizona State University and then went on to complete a Master of Science in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University. He is a Licensed Associate Counselor in the state of Arizona working towards receiving his independent license as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
Robert has experience working in outpatient settings with clients dealing with substance abuse, domestic violence and anger issues as well as working with individuals who are struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, addictions and has experience helping couples dealing with relationship challenges.
Robert enjoys spending time with his family camping in the mountains with his wife and two energetic daughters. His ideal day would be sitting in a hammock alongside a running stream listening to the wind blow through the pines.
Robert can be found daily in his garden. He can be found planting flowers, trees, veggies, pulling weeds, watering or planning to plant more in the yard. A trip to the hardware store is not complete without coming home with a new plant or seeds. His wife is mildly concerned about his love for his garden.
