Sarah has experience working with clients on the Autism Spectrum, as well as clients with SMI designation. Sarah can support clients 16+ succeed in obtaining personal goals.
Sarah takes a look at the full person when working with a client, including physical health, living situation, family, social group, and current daily activities. She works with clients to create mutually agreed upon goals and develop transparent and realistic steps towards getting there. Sarah focuses on client strengths, and believes that clients, with guidance, are capable of amazing achievements. She utilizes CBT and mindfulness training to support clients in learning more about their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
Sarah received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from University of California at Santa Cruz and then went on to complete a Master’s in Social Work from Arizona State University. She is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW).
In addition to counseling, Sarah works with SMI adults on locating education, employment, and socialization supports and services. Outside of work, Sarah enjoys acrylic painting and knitting, and spending time with her husband, animals, and friends. She enjoys trying new things, be it food or activities. Sarah is starting her own vegetable garden and hopes that Arizona sun will be kind to it. She enjoys staying busy, and often reflects how there is “not enough time in the day.
