Megan is the owner of True Direction counseling, which she opened in September 2019. Megan received her Bachelors in Psychology at Arizona State University and her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at University of Phoenix. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor through the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners, and is a Nationally Certified Counselor through the National Board for Certified Counselors. Megan is also working on a certification as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional.
As a clinician, Megan utilizes a multimodal approach that integrates existential, cognitive behavioral, narrative, acceptance and commitment therapy, and trauma informed treatment. She utilizes a direct and yet warm approach to assist clients in challenging themselves to meet their goals. Megan sees therapy as helping people live most authentic to their moral compass and more congruently with who they are intrinsically as human beings. She focuses significantly on assisting her clients in finding their own meaning and purpose. She is a good fit for someone who wants a therapist who will advocate for, support, and challenge them. She provides warmth and empathy, but also doesn't sugar-coat things. She loves to bring humor into her sessions for a more comfortable and relaxed experience. Megan has experience working with individuals, couples, and groups. She is most passionate about working with maternal mental health, caregiver fatigue, and general mental health. She has gained extensive experience with anxiety, depression, postpartum mental illness, trauma-informed care, and relationship issues.
Megan works with individuals ages 16 and older as well as provides couples/relationship counseling. Megan accepts Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Health Care, UMR, and Optum insurances. She is currently working on credentialing with Aetna and can provide a superbill for out-of-network reimbursement. Private-pay clients welcome.

Heather is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She has a bachelors degree from Arizona State University in Interdisciplinary Studies with concentrations in Education and Sociology. She also has a Masters degree in Social Work from Arizona State University. Since graduating with her masters degree, she has delved into a few different areas, such as crisis intervention and counseling. She has a passion for helping others and believes that each individual has the strength within to become the person they want to be and live the life they envision for themselves. She strives to first and foremost establish a safe, non-judgmental, and compassionate environment for clients working with her. Through trust, mutual respect, and collaboration, she works together with her clients to identify goals and treatment options for a variety of presenting issues.
Her approach to counseling is from an evidence based perspective and she makes every attempt to continue her education each year by attending more up to date trainings and conferences so she can provide the most up-to-date therapy for her clients. Heather is trained in trauma, Level I EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness Based Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. She has experience working with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, substance-abuse, ADHD, parenting issues, and more. Heather is in the credentialing process to accept Aetna and Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance. She can provide a superbil for out-of-network reimbursement. Private-pay clients welcome.

Robert is a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC). He has a Bachelors in Psychology from Arizona State University and a Masters in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University.
Robert has experience working with individuals dealing with substance abuse, addictions, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, problems with anger, as well as problems with emotional regulation. He has experience counseling both individuals and couples as well as working in groups.
Robert believes that the most important component to therapy is the relationship between client and therapist. Thus his approach is friendly and non-judgmental. He will work with you to help you identify what challenges you are facing and together you will develop a plan to find improvement.
Robert utilizes a variety of evidence based approaches such as CBT, mindfulness, and DBT.
Robert is an avid gardener. He can be found on his days off planting flowers, trees, veggies, or pulling weeds. He also enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and two daughters.
Robert works with individuals 18 and older. Robert accepts Blue Cross Blue Shield and is currently working on credentialing with Aetna. Private-pay clients welcome and sliding scale is available.
